Art Patrons Herman and Elisabeth Hallonblad

Herman and Elisabeth Hallonblad were important art patrons who were influential in Ladoga-Karelia. The couple's collection includes several beloved works of art, including Helene Schjerfbeck's Self-Portrait, Black Background and Erik Johan Löfgren's Erik XIV and Karin Månsdotter, which was displayed for many years in the Turku Castle.

The Hallonblad Collection was previously exhibited at the Joensuu and Jyväskylä art museums.
