- About Ateneum
Free admission to Ateneum on Helsinki Day.
Helsinki Day will be celebrated at Ateneum in a maritime atmosphere. The film Haru – Yksinäisten saari (“Haru – Island of the Solitary”) reveals the beloved summer hideaway of Tove Jansson and Tuulikki Pietilä. The film will be introduced by one of the filmmakers, Kanerva Cederström, who used original material shot by Tuulikki Pietilä with her cine camera.
Last summer the island was also visited by photographer Stefan Bremer, who will present the photos of Klovharu that are on display in Ateneum’s restaurant.
