This exhibition features artworks that were either made or acquired for Ateneum’s collections 125 years ago, including iconic pieces that have since become classics.
For decades Tove Jansson spent her summers on the island of Klovharu. Photographer Stefan Bremer had the chance to spend a week on the island in July 2013.
Ateneum will host a major centenary exhibition presenting Tove Jansson’s impressive career as an artist, illustrator, political caricaturist, author and creator of the Moomin characters and stories.
Ateneum's collections are kept on public display on the museum's ground floor. The collection display presents Finnish classic art in a new light.
