A documentary which focuses on Tove Jansson’s struggle to gain public acclaim as a painter. Throughout her life she was torn between the desire to be an artist and the urge to please the Moomin fans. The screenplay is based on her correspondences with her friend Eva Konikoff, her fiancé Atos Wirtanen and her parents Victor Jansson and Signe Hammarsten-Jansson. The documentary is to be completed in August 2014.
